Daylight Saving Time Starts, sometimes considered to be a holiday, literally refers to the date that daylight saving time (DST) starts. DST starts on the second Sunday in March each year since 2007. From 1967 to 1973, and also from 1976 to 1986, DST started on the last Sunday in April. From 1987 to 2006, DST started on the first Sunday in April. The clocks then turn ahead one hour at 2:00 AM, which becomes 3:00 AM. This year, DST started on March 14.
